Quick-Strike Vendor Contract Analysis

The Challenge: A client wanted to analyze two decades of vendor agreements to support a vendor restructure strategic initiative.  To do so, it needed to analyze 7,000 legacy documents on a mix of vendor paper and client paper, and the analysis had to be done in less than one week.

The Solution: In collaboration with the client, we developed streamlined workflows to disaggregate and review the target data. To ensure timely, high-quality delivery, we deployed quality control, escalation, and knowledge management protocols to ensure continuous learning. We adapted Relativity (typically used for eDiscovery) as our review platform.  To reduce costs to the client and facilitate a flat-fee arrangement, we trained and leveraged a team of 12 lower-cost contract attorneys to conduct the analysis instead of law firm associates.

The Results: Within 5 days, the team reviewed, assessed and analyzed all 7,000 documents,  captured all document analysis in a structured database, and delivered the analysis to the client. We completed the project on-time and within budget and the client was able to execute on its strategic plan within the timeframe that it desired.
